- CB started Grand Prix Filter Corpn. (GPFC) in rented premises as an Automotive Filter Manufacturing Company and thus the name.

- Entered into a Technical Collaboration with Burgess-Manning Inc, USA for Filters, Separators and Silencers.
- Got orders for Gas conditioning Skids from Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd., Hyderabad (BHEL).
- Got orders for Lube & Seal Oil System from BHEL.
- Got orders from BHEL for Fuel Oil Unloading Skids & Fuel Oil Forwarding Skids for Gas Turbine .
- Executed the first Gas Turbine Exhaust Silencer Order received from BHEL, Hyderabad.

- Got orders for five more Gas Turbine Exhaust Silencers.
- Supplied largest size of 1500 NB Basket filter to Vikram Ispat.
- Bought the present land in Faridabad and started the factory.

- Fabricated & supplied Kiln Hood 4.4 m dia X 9.5 m high to CIMMCO.
- Design & Manufacturing of First Quick Opening Closure for GAIL's Project.

- Developed and manufactured heavy duty 80 wheel trailer for the transport industry as a one off.
- First GT Exhaust Ducting manufactured & supplied for Kirloskar Oil Engines
- Company's name changed to GRAND PRIX FAB PVT. LTD.

- In October Mr. Chander Bhalla joined Burgess-Manning and moved abroad.

- Supplied Gas Turbine Exhaust System to L&T with Erection & Commissioning for 100 MW Kovaya CCPP.

- Accredited ISO 9001:1994 Certification.

- Set up office in Nehru Place.
- Accredited with certification from ASME for authorization to use "U" Stamp on Pressure Vessels.

- Added Heavy Plate Roll Bending Machine to have in house capabilty to make Shell of CS in 50 mm thickness.
- Authorized by ASME to use "U-2" Stamp on Pressure Vessels.
- Authorized by National Board to apply "NB" mark on Pressure Vessels.

- Added S.S. Strip Clading Head fro Clad Vessels.

- Executed Order of 5 nos 30" Pipe Size #600 Cartridge Filters for GAIL Vijaipur Dadri Bawana Pipe Line Project.
- Booked single order, valued at Rs.7.00 Crores for Fuel Gas Treatment System from BHEL, Hyderabad
for PDO, Amal Project ,Oman.
